Heidi Fish

Heidi Fish has worked in the welfare-to-work sector across central England for over 10 years within commercial, charity and third sector organisations.

Heidi was pivotal in achieving Level 3 Disability Confident status for the Framework Housing Association, a homeless charity in Nottingham.  Bringing her employability expertise to this audience convinced her that, with the right support, almost anyone can secure and thrive through sustainable employment.

Since then she’s delivered many government and third sector employability contracts focusing on a variety of diverse cohorts.  Her role as Head of Health & Wellbeing at Jobs 22 saw her responding to the employment crisis following a global pandemic when there was a dramatic increase both mental and physical sickness across the country and the now obvious link between health and employability acknowledged as strategically important by governments around the world.

Heidi was so successful in this role that she was able to ‘spin-off’ her team to create a dedicated health practice that focuses on identifying and delivering health and wellbeing employability services that bring together her passion for operational excellence and holistic health programmes to help those with complex needs on their journey back to employment.  Healthfind has grown to become a force in the UK market by integrating with its team with small, community-based partners to deliver support that local people can trust; from large scale government schemes like Restart in East Central England, to smaller cohort based programmes across the UK

Small community based partners

I have worked on many different employability contracts over the years with a variety of diverse needs, most recently the Restart scheme for Jobs 22, since we began back in May 21, now Head of Operations for Healthfind UK a sister organisation to Jobs22, we work alongside participants to identify the primary barrier to getting them into employment.

“I believe that health and employment are inextricably linked elements to building local economies.  Over the years as I’ve witnessed first hand how people’s psychological relationship to health barriers can have more of an effect on their employment prospects than the barriers themselves. Whether it’s helping with mindset shifts or supporting physical recovery  and development, I’m passionate about delivering services that make a difference to lives and communities.”
